Industrial
Networks Over Copper
Ethernet speed and network connectivity
in a copper backbone. Also known as DSL, this technology
was previously only available to the telecommunications
industry. Now, industrialized products from Actelis
Networks offer governmental agencies the ability to
utilize existing copper lines and achieve multi-megabit
communications speeds in a fully networked environment.
For customers who can not afford the migration
costs associated with fiber-optic networks, this technology
provides an excellent solution.
This technology also works in conjunction
with fiber-optic ethernet and wireless ethernet devices,
so hybrid system solutions are now a real possibility.

based services are rapidly replacing traditional
leased-line services for voice, video and data
applications. Services providers, consumers and
government agencies are looking for new ways to
expand their capabilities of their existing copper
networks.
Recent advances in copper-based
Ethernet in the First Mile technologies enable
high quality, high bandwidth Ethernet services
over regular twisted pair (telephone) lines. These
are rapidly replacing legacy T1/E1 services with
3-80 megabit Ethernet connections, while offering
a proven rapid and cost-effective alternative
to expensive fiber optic cable deployments. |

| The
ML 600 series copper/ethernet switches operate
from two to eight pairs twisted copper pairs,
and four ethernet ports per device. The ML638
model has and optional Gigabit SFP port. The ML
688 model was designed specifically for traffic
networks, and it has add/drop multiplexer capabilities
with up to 4 twisted copper pairs both in and
out of the device and speeds of up 45 Mbps.

| The
ML 130 series copper/ethernet switches bind up
to 16 twisted copper pairs with up 91 Mbps symmetrical
data throughput. The ML 130 works well as a central
office aggregator for multiple ML 600 series devices.
