AUSTIN, Texas, October 1, 2026 – Yunex Traffic today announced it has achieved Build America, Buy America (BABA) certification of compliance with domestic content requirements across its manufacturing operations and qualifying product portfolio.
As part of this achievement, Yunex Traffic becomes the first traffic controller manufacturer to receive NEMA Make it American® process certification, marking a significant milestone for the transportation industry.
The certification validates Yunex Traffic’s commitment to U.S. manufacturing and compliance with domestic content requirements established under the Build America, Buy America Act. It also provides transportation agencies and contractors with independent verification that qualifying Yunex Traffic products meet federal requirements for infrastructure projects funded with federal dollars.
Achieving certification represents the culmination of a significant investment by Yunex Traffic to transform its hardware manufacturing operations. To meet BABA requirements, the company relocated hardware production to Austin, Texas, strengthened its domestic supply chain, and worked closely with suppliers to source qualifying components across its controller and roadside unit product lines.

The certification applies to Yunex Traffic’s U.S. manufacturing operations at its Austin, Texas facility, where M60 and Yutraffic Blade controller platforms and connected vehicle roadside units are manufactured. These technologies support agencies as they modernize intersections, improve mobility, enhance safety, and prepare for the future of connected transportation.
As transportation agencies continue to invest federal infrastructure funding in roadway modernization projects, compliance with Build America, Buy America requirements has become an increasingly important consideration in procurement decisions.
